Water Heater Project

About the Project

The KCT Group Trust supported the Water Heater Project in Maharashtra, implemented by the Wildlife Conservation Trust, to promote sustainable and eco-friendly energy solutions in forest-adjacent communities. Through the installation of over 350 energy-efficient ‘Bumbbs’—innovative water heaters designed to reduce reliance on traditional fuel sources—the project successfully cut down 500 tonnes of CO₂ emissions annually. Beyond its environmental impact, the initiative improved daily life for residents by providing a safer, cost-effective alternative for heating. Though the project has concluded, it remains a strong example of the Trust’s commitment to community well-being and environmental stewardship.
